Fabulous Community
- You Can Feel the Heart Here. Pershing is a big middle school that feels like a small family. People know each other, look out for each other, and genuinely care.
- Leaders You'll Actually See. The Principal and Assistant Principals are frequently in the halls, talking to students and parents, at events and very connected to the campus. They’re familiar faces you can walk up to and have a real conversation with.
- There’s Room for Every Kind of Child. Our mix of academics, fine arts, athletics, clubs, and traditions gives students many ways to try something new, find their people, find what they love, and feel like they belong.
- School Events Bring Us All Together. There are so many opportunities for students, families, and staff to spend time together. These are relaxed, come-as-you-are events where the goal is to connect, pitch in, and have fun - not to impress anyone.
- Adults Show Up for Students. Teachers, staff, and leaders work together so students feel supported, included, and safe, and keep parents in the loop.
- Kids Look Out for Each other. Eighth graders welcome sixth graders, and friendships cross grade levels. Older students help younger ones feel at home. It's woven into the fabric of our culture at Pershing.
- Clear Communication to Parents. We see this as a partnership. Families deserve to know what's happening at school, especially when something difficult comes up. We take that responsibility for clear, honest communication very seriously. That honesty builds trust and that trust is paramount to us.
- Kids Get to Know People from All Walks of Life. They make friends, work together, and learn from classmates whose lives may look different from their own. That’s a wonderful thing to take with them beyond middle school.
- Families are Part of the School, too. From PTO events to opportunities to meet with school leaders, there are real ways to get involved, ask questions, build relationships and get to know the people your child spends their day with. You’re welcome here.
